Time
Hold onto youth as best you can
For growing old is nature`s plan
The years fly ever faster by
Where have they gone I hear you cry
The snow of age will dust your head
As all around your midriff spreads
Dentures, glasses, tablets, canes
Or forgetfulness, aches and pains
Stay fit, eat well you hear them say
This will keep old age away
But no matter how you try
You will eventually bid goodbye
Old and maybe wise we`ll be
Whilst arthritis plagues our knees
Happy and content or bitter
Or forgetting that which was familiar
Time rolls on and pauseth not
The clock of time you cannot stop
So settle down and face your fate
And wait for your expiry date.
